Learns from tutorials
It turns a video into a list of steps you can reuse, each with the minute it was shown. Steps it could not read get a flag instead of a guess.
Ableton Copilot · in development
Ask for a sound, a groove or an arrangement and it builds it in Ableton Live. It learns techniques from tutorial videos, listens back to the result and explains each step, so you learn as you work.
Add a dark pluck that answers the bass, from bar 25.
Done. New track "Pluck" with Operator, a short decaying saw through a low-pass at 1.8 kHz, and a 4-bar phrase in F minor that plays off the bass on the off-beats.
Why the off-beats: your bass sits on 1 and 3, so the pluck fills the gaps instead of fighting it.
Heard · 2 differences that matter
The low end is heavier than your reference.
Your bass sits about 3 dB above the reference between 60 and 120 Hz, and the top end is darker. On a big system that reads as mud.
Suggestion: pull the bass bus down 2 dB and open the hats with a high shelf. Want me to do it, or show you how?
What just happened
The pad now ducks on every kick. That pumping is the groove of the track, not just a mixing trick.
Attack controls how fast it ducks, release how it breathes back. Longer release, lazier swing.

How it works
Ableton Copilot is in development. This is the session we are building it for.
You open Live and ask for a starting point. It creates the tracks, sets the tempo and writes a first kick and bass pattern, then reads the set back from Live to check that everything landed.
"124 BPM, F minor, rolling techno, start with kick and bass"
You paste a link to a ten minute video about a hypnotic rumble. It turns the video into four steps, each with the minute it was shown. One step was too blurry to read, so it flags that one and asks you.
It runs the steps on your kick: a reverb send, a low-pass on the return, a sidechain to the kick. You hear the rumble come in and keep the settings you like.
You bounce sixteen bars and pick a track you love as the reference. It tells you your low end is about 3 dB heavier between 60 and 120 Hz and your top end is darker, and offers to fix it or show you how.
bass bus −2 dB · high shelf on the hats
It explains what the sidechain did to the groove and gives you a four bar exercise: try two release times and pick the one that fits the bass. It saves what you learned for next time.
You plug in a drum machine. It routes it through Live so the hearing safety chain covers it too, and the session carries on.
Features
It is being built to work inside Live, listen to the result and explain what it did. You stay in charge of every change.
It turns a video into a list of steps you can reuse, each with the minute it was shown. Steps it could not read get a flag instead of a guess.
A safety chain caps the level and catches sudden peaks before they reach your monitors.
Talk to it while you play, use the panel inside Live, or send ideas from your phone.
Ideas come in as MIDI on your own synths and as rough arrangement maps you can change.
It works with the synths, drum machines, mixers and controllers you already have next to Live.
Finished tracks go straight into Doors of Harmony DJ, ready to place in your next set.
